I would like to use some of the online gambling sportsbooks. What's the easiest way to set up a VPN or something similar to look like I'm in Tennessee, Louisiana, etc?

For just your workstation or all machines?
Assuming Windoze - Sign up for a VPN service, follow thier instructions (install the client, enable it) and surf disable when not needed/wanted.

I dont have a service recommendation, but keep in mind that you can only VPN into certain big cities like LA, New York, Chicago, etc...One of them should have sports gambling legalized but you have to know which one does.
You cannot just tell the VPN "I want to be in New Orleans."

Unless someone knows a way around their apps you can't. The phone apps detect your gps location doesn't match your ip location. On windows it scans for VPNs running. I also tried with a computer at home running remote chrome desktop and it found that running; couldn't log in.

Look at Nordvpn. The client interface lets you choose the location your traffic exits and appear to be from. I use it on my firewall as an alternate gateway and also direct from client machines.

Many VPN services allow you to pick a location for the VPN server. Nordvpn and ipVanish are 2 that I've used. Now it does become a game of cat and mouse as the gambling sites, or other sites that try to restrict users to certain locations, figure out what ip addresses the VPNs are using within a few hours. So some ips work and some don't. And some work for a while and then don't.
