Prob a stupid question but I've never bought a used phone.
Can I just switch SIM cards and I'll be ok?
The versizon is a normal iPhone 6 and the att is the big iPhone 6

Verizon site has a "can I use my phone" feature. You plug in some number I forgot the name of.

I just moved my wife's phone over from ATT to Verizon.
First thing you have to do is make sure your number is unlocked (your phone will have to be paid in full). You can do that on the ATT website.. The website says it can take a few days to unlock the phone, but they did it in about a day for us.
Once your device is unlocked, just bring it to Verizon. They'll swap out the ATT SIM card for a Verizon SIM card.

The AT&T iPhone 6 Plus will work on Verizon if it's unlocked. If you check on Verizon's site it's an approved non Verizon phone. I used one for a little while with a prepaid Verizon sim before getting Verizon post paid.

So he needs to unlock his phone even if it's not In device? He can do this on the ATT website?

Question, are you paying the service bill? Or just whatever is left to pay off the phone

Yes, we had to do that to my son's phone in our move to Verizon. It was easy.

Paid the last ATT bill and just moved the phone over to Verizon.
I want to say there was a $20 activation fee or so to move her phone over.
