Trusted sited for REFURB phones?

Looking for an IPhone 7 for one of the kids. We use MetroPCS for them so its pay as you go.
Amazon has them, but reviews are really all over the place. Any place that is recommended to get an unlocked 7 or 8?

I think those phones are probably discontinued by Apple, although I guess some retailers could have new old stock. The used market is probably your best bet for discontinued devices, some people here talk good about Swappa, iphone 8. Having said that, I wouldn't buy a used 4+ year old phone, mainly because the battery is probably trash and also because that is ancient in phone years.

Swappa is a good recommendation. I've bought a few phones off swappa, all positive transactions.

i like swappa but its been overrun by resellers. back in the day the first 10-15 listings were all individuals now its BUYSELL INC and PHONESPLUS LTD.
nothing wrong with that..but harder to get a good deal..the prices are dictated by these sellers now and fluctuations are rare.
believe it or not, i've bought a couple on ebay recently instead that were actually much cheaper than swappa but legit sellers with 15,000 feedback.
TL;DR, don't rule ebay out..but you need to be careful because its trickier to buy there..you'll need to read the descriptions VERY carefully

I bought a Pixel 2 XL a couple yrs ago on SWAPPA. Said it had minor scratches on back. When I received it there were no scratches and might as well been new. Have had it for a while. Will go back to Swappa for next phone probably.

Honestly I wouldnt pay the extra for it to be certified.
Foe the price of a 7 you could easily get it below used market price.

Thanks all for the RECS. I found a 8 on SWAPPA for 190, but good to know that we have a tech person on board!
LSS he has a 6 and it won't update anymore, so he is asking for a 7 for his Birthday so I think an 8 is cool. If I have any issues past the warranty I might be reaching out (cctiger89)
