Truck Speaker Advice

I have an old truck (2005) with the original 6-speaker still installed. A couple of the speakers have quit working, so I think it is time to install some new ones. I am totally out of the audio scene at this point and really have no idea what brands are even sold nowadays. Can someone recommend brand of replacement speakers that I should look at?

I have, and it has been very helpful. Trouble is, I have found several different sets that will fit and I am so out of touch with audio that I don't know what brands are good and what brands are crap!

Stick with alpine, pioneer, mtx, etc. Pretty much anything you put in will sound good. And much better than old factory speakers.

Polk is the new go-to.
Not outrageously expensive and super sound.

Yeah if you are just doing drop in replacements, no need to spend on anything more. Best Buy inventories the hell out of them

Forgot about Polk. Which is funny because that’s what I put in my old Jeep. They were recommended because they were marine rated and I put them in my soundbar.

Absolutely agree on Polk. For higher end, I love Morel and Dynaudio.
