Can you set up a hotspot with your phone? Connect the shield to that

I get it but your options are limited. If you have unlimited data that I would go that route

The data is unlimited but the hotspot is separate from that. Together my wife and I have 60 GB so we will see how long that lasts. I read that you need at least 500 GB per month to stream tv.

Just depends on how much you are streaming. I know there used to be ways to set up bootleg hotspots that use your regular data instead of the allotted hotspot data. Not sure if those option still exist, but may be worth looking into.

Without internet the Shield is useless.

Unless you can use your phones data plan to stream, you have an NVIDIA Brick Rookie -4k

I would like to know how to do this if possible. I’ll see what I can find on it.

This may not help you yet, but Starlink is starting to roll out their service which uses lower orbit satellites for actual broadband performance. LINK /

Yes I have ATT but I only have 30 GB hotspot and so does my wife for combined 60 GB. Probably need at least 500 GB a month to stream tv.

It looks like Verizon is the one with the best deal for using a hotspot device. Apparently you can add a hotspot device and connect two lines to it for only $30 extra per month and it’s unlimited. ATT has add on hotspot devices but offer very little GB.

I just set up my second Shield TV. First one acts as a Plex server. I was really tired of the inconsistency of the FireTV in another room and also needing to use a second remote for audio control. And my Bose Bluetooth headphone would drop off all the time. So, got this, and it's perfect!

Especially with Internet service.
