Anyone tried tmobile's home internet in Baton Rouge?
They have a 15 day free trial. Might give it a shot to boot cox.
My phone gets 120+ down on 5g at my house, but only 10ish up. Curious if that's what I'd get for home internet at minimum.
TMobile is $50 for unlimited data and would be only $30 since our phones are on TMobile.

You will likely see faster speeds than that.
Definitely worth a try. Lots of happy fixed wireless internet customers out there these days from T-Mobile and Verizon.

I have a small condo in NOLA, that I'd like to get service to. I have Verizon, but for whatever reason it's not available at my condo yet. T-Mobile is available at the condo, but it's $50 bucks a month. It'll be only $25 when Verizon is up and running in the area since I already have a Verizon account. I'm growing tired of waiting though!!

I have it on the outskirts of Beaumont. It depends on which 5g signal I'm on which speeds i get. N41 gets between 150-300mbps down and only 2 or 3 upload. N71 gets around 60-70mbps down and 25 up. No issues. Stream 2 fire sticks, 5 phones and a ps4. Not all at once but at least 3 of those are always using internet with no issues.

I have T-Mobile in Pensacola Florida and I love it. I pay 40 a month [ Senior rate ] 50 if not. Then I have Youtube TV for 60 a month. The service and reception is great for both. I was paying AT&T 90 a month and Dish for 120 a month. Saved 110 a month and I love it.

Wired internet > wireless.
Speeds on T-Mobile's n41 band may be good, but I wouldn't depend on them for gaming, video calling, and other tasks that require a good ping.

Most people looking at an option like this is usually because they have very few options (if any) available.

After 6 long months I was finally able to the TMO home internet trashcan. After playing around a little I found a spot with only a "weak" signal. But I am getting 145 mbps download and 50 mbps upload. This is fantastic being I have been only getting 15 to 25 download speeds with my AT&T hotspot.

Depends on what you're going to use it for, and what kind of signal you can get at your place. I had it for awhile in mandeville after Ida when AT&T were fricking around with me, only had 2/5 bars. Got 180+ MB down and about 30 up at peak usage times. My dad has it about a mile away with 3/5 bars and gets about 260 down, 85 up at peak usage times. My fastest was 400 down and 50 up and my Dad's fastest was 650 down and 110 up.
Was perfectly fine for browsing internet and streaming apps. Anything that doesn't require a good ping. My main use was gaming and it fell pretty short in that department. Main point that sold me on trying it out was that as long as it had a power source, I'd always have Wi-Fi without relying on physical lines for service. Was a lifesaver for the 2 months after Ida. Hated to cancel as their customer service was the best I've dealt with from any ISP, but it couldn't keep up with my needs.
Overall, if they can improve the technology to get those pings down and have some more customizable features on their equipment such as port forwarding and changing NAT types for gaming, I'd switch back in a heartbeat.
