The 55 inch is on sale for 999.00 and I am considering hanging one in my office. I know a few of you have them. What are your thoughts?

It's absolutely not the best TV you can buy at that price point, but the average person who walks into your office will absolutely believe you have a framed piece of art on the wall when they look at it, especially if you use the matting options. In my opinion, you have to get right on top of it before the 3d illusion gets flimsy.

Put another way, if you want a good, not great, TV that doesn't look like a TV when you're not using it, it's a great buy.

How does it perform as a monitor? I am more interested in it being a tv occasionally, a monitor more often than a tv, and definitely a piece of art more than anything else.

Don't know if I'd want to game on it, but I imagine it's overkill for a productivity monitor.

It won’t be for gaming. Spreadsheets, web browsing, running a home office.

Sounds like it would do just fine.

I considered it - went to look at them at Best Buy. Salesman literally said the panel they use is shite compared to other Samsungs.

He also pointed out that (I think) all of the Samsung's have the photo app built in. You download the SmartThings app and link your photos through your phone.

The only thing missing is the motion sensor - so you'll have to turn the TV on yourself - it will not wake up when it senses motion.

I went with a Q80 instead of the Frame. It's much brighter and I'm very happy with it.

I think they are cool for the right applications when it can fit seamlessly in a room. I wouldn’t buy one if I had other media components out in plain view.

We got one for our new house to watch tv and make it art when we are not. We are not tech people that know anything about picture/sound quality or screen type. This TV looks really good on the wall and you can watch TV.
