Update: I signed up for DirecTV Now's 7 day trial yesterday. She who must be obeyed took to it like a fish in water. She actually likes their guide better than the Uverse guide because it is alphabetized, and she loves the "Favorites" feature. I think this is going to be a slam dunk, so this weekend I'll be looking at installing an OTA antenna.

As always, I appreciate the help and advice!

You mean simultaneously? Sure. Just add or create another google account under your original and add the new account as the camp account. You can share with up to 6 members.

Otherwise, if you're asking can you use it at home and use it when you go to the camp, sure. It's on your phone and you cast to a TV.

Simultaneously. I wasnt sure if it made you sign into wifi, a family member had playstation vue and tried to use it at our camp and it made them update their home wifi to the camps wifi in order to use it down there

Yep my wife figured it out pretty quickly now it's no big deal.

fyi I use a Tablo with the OTA antenna on the wall in my home office with an USB HD plugged into the tablo for OTA DVR and it great.

Just another app on the Apple TV and I get like 30 channels.

Are there many issues with buffering? Live sports, are they an issue or pretty much trouble free?

Never had an issue with any of this and have YouTube TV and pretty basic internet. Love the unlimited DVR as well.

Perfect timing! Cancelling my direct tv next week and was going to hook up a local antenna to where the dish cable is going into my house. Direct tv Now so far is the leader on new provider with the most channels at the best price $55/mos. Question I have is would a smart tv have the "app" or do I need an apple tv or firestick at each tv? TIA

do you need an OTA if DirectTV Now has all of the local channels anyway (abc, nbc, fox, etc.)

Only if you want 2 ways to watch the same channels.

Possibly for sports if you follow any gameday thread, up to 30 sec delay from live

My newer TV (Vizio bought in Nov last year) has the YTtv app built into it. I can sign in, but then it would only show my DVR'ed movies and shows. It has casting built in so whoever is watching it casts their YTtv content to it. It also has other apps built in like Netflix, Amazon Prime, HULU, VUDU, etc

On my older TVs I purchased chromecasts so we cast to those.
