instead of course, of getting the same features in an android with half the price....
tell me again when iMessage is coming to Android. Or when any of the other apple ecosystem centric features will be cross platform. Because I'm not about to move my 150 GB photo library to Google photos.

You would not have to, because 120GB of those pictures should be in the trash.

And sales will probably go up. It's gotta be better, if it's so much more expensive, right? Dumb. Too many "have to have it" folks out there

I'd rather him tell me when the Pixel and Galaxy are going to be priced under $450 instead of having pretty much same price points as the iPhone 7. Can you get an Android phone with many of the same hardware features for $400? Yes. But I guess most people using Android phones are morons too because those aren't the phones most of them buy.
I'm curious if there is any actual value to justify the higher price point other than shiny and new. Constrained supply of OLED screens is really the only excuse they need to price it hihger, but Robert Scoble has been making a bunch of Augmented Reality claims. He's been saying the new phone would go completely clear to make displaying AR better.

So is this for the 256gb iPhone or the 32gb? Seeing as the 256 iPhone 7+ is nearly $1000, who wouldn't expect the new design to break a grand for an equivalent spec iPhone 8+. Stupid article to rile up those who feel the need to call others sheep.

Yeah, let me delete 80% of the pictures I have of my kids.

L O L
clear battery, clear camera, clear SoC?

Yeah, that seems dubious. He said the AR would work on the older phones too, so I'm guessing it's more optical illusion that you get with with the front of the phone being 100% screen as has been rumored for the new iPhone.

How did we survive as a society on just 24 or 36 pictures per roll of film. Those were dark days

I am as guilty as you, I have a ton of worthless pictures of my kids I will never look at again.
It is funny visiting my parents and showing the kids the 36 different pictures of our vacation to Europe when I was a kid in the 90s. It is in some strange item called a photo album.
Then I show my parents the 75 pictures I took at the kids last soccer game.

No that was the golden age. I don't recall ever having my food go cold as a kid because the photo shoot of dinner wasn't done yet.

Mine would have been action shots of me chewing.

They have to be just making stuff up at this point.

Apple is widely rumored to launch a high-end iPhone with an edge-to-edge OLED display this year, which has been variously called the "iPhone 8" or "iPhone X" to commemorate the smartphone's tenth anniversary, and rumors suggest the device will an include iris scanner to authenticate with your eyes

Until we start getting leaks from china when they start prepping for production, most phone rumors are applying the wish list to the next phone. However, one of the sources/reasons for the iris scanning rumor is that Apple bought the company that made the XBox Kinect 3 years ago.
Apple buys PrimeSense: is 3D gesture support in the Mac or iPad's future?
If that's part of why they bought it, taking 3 years to put it in the iPhone doesn't seem unreasonable.

Google has cloud service on lock. Apple isn't even in the conversation on that aspect.
