Cox came back and offered $248 the preferred internet at 500mbps, free HBO max
so still more expensive than AT&T
but I do run my alarm through Cox and that's included in the $248

I have the 2000 plan and directv stream, I'm happy, the wife's happy. The fiber is excellent and the streaming is pretty good. Definitely sufficient

I deal with the Cox Legacy department and am getting 1Gig Internet, HBO/HBOMax, lots of dependable email, not to mention tons of channels and streaming access through them for $217 including “title tax and license.”
Also have an Apple 4K TV box to fill in.

I think i have the wrong person, someone in a different thread said they had fiber directly to their PC with ATT, and i was wondering how they did that.

They can't. At a minimum there has to be an ONT before the PC.

No clue if you're thinking of me, but if so, you misunderstood. I use the standard ATT BGW320 gateway.

Doesn't replace the need for an ONT. ONT is where the authentication is performed.
