Switching back to Verizon - which rebate would you take advantage of?

First off, if you live in a smaller town, I wouldn’t recommend Xfinity wireless. Usually, you get what you pay for, and I’d rather pay $70/month and get very good cell service than $35 and crummy.
With that being said, Verizon is giving everyone a couple different options currently. I have an iPhone XS Max (which I just finished paying off this year) and here are the 3 options I think I have:
1). $800 trade-in towards and iPhone 13 + $200 rebate. So basically $1,000 towards a $1,300 phone ($8.50/month for 36 months)
2). $500 in rebates towards my Verizon bill if I keep my same phone
3). Do nothing for now. Just keep my Xs and see what trade-in they give me towards the 14 later this fall/winter.
I’m kinda leaning towards option 3 now, since I don’t really need a new phone at the moment and am enjoying not having extra payments added to my monthly bill. The 14 might be cool to get, and who knows what new features it might have (nothing about the 13 screams that I need it).
Only thing is, who knows what kind of trade-in offer I might get once the 14 comes out. I’ll probably expect a $400 trade-in max, so I might miss out big time on this $1,000 offer.
Just seeing what input anyone on here might have

If you like Verizon, look at Visible. It's the same network, for more than half the cost of Verizon.

I have Visible, and I like it but it is not for everyone! It is inexpensive, but it isn't actually the "same" network. It works on Verizon towers and Verizon only. In other words, if you have a Verizon plan and there are no Verizon towers nearby, Verizon has deals with other providers to "share" their tower so you still have service. But if you are with Visible, you are just out of luck.
Depending on where you live, you may not have particularly good service. I'm in a somewhat small town in Virginia and my service is adequate but certainly not great. However, $25 a month for unlimited service makes up for only adequate service in my mind. I've got Comcast for internet, and that works fine for me.

quote:There are some catches. No roaming if you venture outside of Verizon networks (or 3G areas) You also get deprioritized if there is heavy usage on the nearby tower, such as large events (football games as an example). Some other minor ones that wont affect most people.

It is an excellent value plan, but it is not for everyone.

Sounds like xfinity wireless. It might work great in bigger cities with more towers, but not in our little town.

I'd wait for fall and see if there is another iPhone BOGO if that's an option for you

Do you know if xfinity wireless works well in the Calhoun, LA area?

Apple is selling the next iPhone with the same SoC as the current one... Jobs is rolling in his grave over all the the innovation...
