But, the fastest Fire you can buy doesn't suit you. So, you're waiting on a faster Fire? What are you asking? If Fire sucks, cancel the service, spent $40 on a device, and try it ou
I thought that I was asking here?
Is it too much to ask other people what device they are using?
I am not going to go out and buy a Roku/FireTV/AppleTV and try them all out. Seems like a waste of time
Since you asked, I have a firestick, Tivo 4K, Onn stick for RV, and a New Onn box for my main TV. The Onn box on the main TV is used almost exclusively and is easily modified with the right apps.

great, 6 years ago. Not it's finnicky and dogshit slow
I don't find this to be the case. It's unfortunate they don't seem to want to make a newer one though. The chip is used in the Nintendo switch so they probably have no inclination to want to.

I used to use the fire and roku sticks and they only seemed to last a year or so before getting bogged down. got tired of troubleshooting them and switched to the Nvidia Shield Pro a few years ago. Not sure about the butthurt guy saying they are dogshit now with nothing to back that statement up. But FWIW, I actually own one, use it everyday and would highly recommend it.
Or is it refreshing in todays tech world a company can make a piece of tech that isn't outdated every year.

Yeah, find me something that's android that works better. I have the original model in the bedroom and the newer model in the living room.
Use FLauncher on it to get rid of all the Google bullshite on the landing screen and it functions amazingly well. frick using anything by the ad machine of Amazon and Apple is just Apple.

think I know where you are going with this question, but no internet issues whatsoever with any other devices. It is purely the fire stick
I wasnt pointing toward your provider but if your using att, they will throttle iptv streaming apps. In that case one would need a vpn to clear up the freezing.

I'm not an Apple fanboy but the way that the Apple TV works with the "Apple Ecosystem" is really convenient. I never have to use an awkward remote to type out a password, I can type it from my phone. I can even paste in saved passwords from Apple Keychain.
I also love the interface and speed. Never once have had a lag issue or latency issue from remote. With Roku, I'll press a button and have like 250ms latency. You also don't have to even point the remote at the TV since it transmits over Bluetooth instead of IR.
If you want a good one for cheap grab an older generation 4k 32gb Apple Tv. Dirt cheap now, you could find them for $70 refurbished IIRC.
