As title states, after struggling to have decent wifi I have decided to order Starlink. Hoping it lives up to the hype! Unfortunately, no major internet providers (T-Mobile, ATT) are available in my area so Starlink is the best option. 2-4 weeks for delievery per the email. I will update once I receive package and it is set up.

Current Internet Provide- Reach 4
Expected Speeds- 8M/2M
Actual Speeds 5.2 download and 1.36 upload

Can you pick and choose and pay by the month if you are wanting it for an rv or lake house that you are only there sporadically?

Yes, it is $25.00 more per month for that option. Also they have a roof mount follow me type dome now as well if you have a motorhome.

So you pay $25 every month at a minimum which would give you no coverage, and then for the months you need the service you pay whatever the cost for one months worth of coverage is?

You only pay for what you use but the cost per month is higher. Speed is also throttled on the RV plan as well.

If you aren't moving it around, you can get better speeds for a cheaper price but you have to keep the service active.

If it's a vacation home and you don't need it every month, you are stuck with the RV plan...

Important to remember that they are adding more to the constellation. They are also sending you better satellites.

ETA: As the title states, I order Starlink in March of 2022 and received it approx. 1 week ago. Easy set up, just 2 wires, the main satellite and the router. Takes maybe 20-30 minutes to figure it all out and get it up and running. From the start, it has been great! Upload speeds ranging from 30-130Mbps and download speeds from 15-30. While this may not be as good as some fiber options, I am unable to get fiber in my location. No issues during some light showers or cloud cover. Streaming YoutubeTv without buffering or any issues. I have 8 devices linked to it and it has never flinched. Im extremely satisfied so far.
