There's been some discussion about Starlink around here, but I haven't seen this live map yet. Thought it was pretty frickin' cool.

LINK

Way more already up there than I thought. Also you can see the "trains" of more recent launches.

If you go to Stellarium, (or down load the app) you can see when they fly overhead... (You have to zoom in, but they are there).

My wife's Outback has Starlink and an app that track the Satellites for emergency, nav and other services. I think I prepaid $75 for 3 years of service,

SUBARU STARLINK App
STARLINK Safety and Security helps keep you and your Subaru safe whether you’re in your vehicle, at your computer, or on your mobile device. Safety and Security services include Automatic Collision Notification, Enhanced Roadside Assistance, Stolen Vehicle Recovery, and the added convenience of Remote Services[1].The STARLINK app gives you access to a suite of STARLINK cloud-based applications, such as iHeartRadio®, Yelp®, Magellan NAVI®, and more via your in-vehicle multimedia touchscreen. STARLINK Multimedia connects you and your Subaru to music, news, navigation, podcasts, and more. Wireless pairing and hands-free smartphone operation allow for safe and easy access to your favorite apps and content.

One of my son's favorite things to do is go outside and try to spot them. The best time is right after sunset when the sun is below the horizon but still reflects off of them because of their altitude. I think he's spotted up to 20 in 30 min or so. They've occasionally flow through the viewfinder of our telescope.

So you can spot these things with the naked eye?

We don't quite trust Alaska with the internet yet.

I know some Alaskans, very untrustworthy people. I mean just look at the conditions they choose to live in. They've got to be up to no good.

Frist really clear night here in about 3+ weeks. Went out with the telescope just after Dusk last night and the kid saw 3 in about 10 mins...
