For those in the rural areas of Acadia Parish, my Starlink dish is on it’s way. There is now hope for those will years and years of crappy internet. My original order deposit was placed February 2021.

OK thanks, so they seem to be pretty accurate on the revised service dates.

Looks like 3 of us got notified on the same day. Florida panhandle here, put down my deposit about a year ago. Original estimate was second half of 2021, then revised to February of 2022. Got the email yesterday.

Adios Centurylink and DirecTV!

Yo I'm bookmarking this thread....keep us updated on how it works for you.

I live in Crowley and have a camp in the Cove that I'd love to have decent internet at.

No, the new setup doesn't come with a network port, have to buy a separate adapter.

My neighbor here in rural Washington parish got his a week ago and is running at 110 Mbps d/l and 22 upload. He said it even worked well through the bad weather we had yesterday.

I actually live in the Cove. My delivery is suppose to be on Sunday. If all goes well, I will be disconnecting from Reach on Friday.

I suggest going through a storm or 2 before you rely on it for your sole connection.
I had issues in Prairieville Thursday night and most of the day Friday with the heavy cloud cover.
I haven't been back to the office to see if it still had problems once the weather cleared.

That's a damn good first step....now for consistency over time.

Thanks for the update.
