Spectrum canceled

Getting ready to cancel spectrum tV due to lack of watching anything on it. 100.00 a month. We have Google Fiber for internet service. Fine with that. What are our options for any type of TV to watch? We have Roku. By adding apps to Roku, do we have to have a TV provider, or can we still run it through Google Fiber?

If you want to watch anything on the ESPN channels, SEC Network, etc., I believe you have to have a live TV provider, with those sport packages in order to stream. My self I have been using Fubo TV for my live TV provider. I think they provide the best programming for sports enthusiasts, but in checking my bill the other day I noticed that my Fubo package was now costing me $97 a month.

A little confused on what you're looking to do. You canceled cable tv service bc you don't watch cable tv but need a cable tv replacement service? What are you trying to watch and we can probably point you in the right direction for apps.

You can add whatever streaming app you want. Some are ad supported - some you have to pay for.
The ad supported apps work fine for me. I'm not really big into broadcast TV. I use an antenna for local stuff like the news.
Many paid services allow you to cancel at any time with no contract, so you can sign up for something like football season and drop it afterwards.
But yes, you can use your Google Fiber ISP to support whatever streaming content you desire.

Yea the general concensus is that Youtube TV or Hulu with live TV (if you already have Hulu) are the best 2 options right now. Maybe even FuboTV, do a trial on each and see which you and your family like. They're all about the same price.
You just stream your live tv with one of those services via your google fiber (or anything) internet.
