Or would just the router cover that much space?

The cube and 2 antennas cover 20K sq ft. I have no idea what just the cube covers. The great thing about it is it takes literally 5-7 minutes to setup. You can control remotely away from your home and the throughput is outstanding for people that have 100MB+ internet connections. You can also run the antennas in mixed mode. I have one on the other side of the house in 2.4GHTZ mode and the other in 5GHTZ mode.

Just took mine down (same model) cause I switched Internet providers and the modem I got has built in wifi that seems to be working well...

Interested in buying mine? It's about a year old.

Hit me up if interested: CDANIEL985@GMAIL.COM

Your OP was about the Nighthawk.

But I read a few posts down from your OP that you already ordered a different replacement system.

Anyone have thoughts on TP-LINK Archer C7?

Wi-Fi router reviews seems to be all over the place.

haha I just switched over. A month ago I bought the TPLink Archer C7 and didn't get the performance I wanted. The 2.4 Ghz was ok but the 5Ghz was not what I expected. I only had my Firestick connected to the 5Ghz frequency and everything else to the 2.4. Granted - I'm currently renting a townhome so I have lots of neighbors close by and this I'm sure affects the performance.

Got the R7000 3 days ago for $150 on Amazon (price already went back up). Performance is excellent! Hope it doesn't crap out after 16 months

Same thing happened to mine 2 weeks ago. Same model and all. Ordered April 2016 from Amazon.

Woke up one day and no signal going out at all. Did resets, troubleshoots, googled issue etc. and no fix.

Not sure what to do with it now.

I found this, maybe it will help.

Nighthawk issues

The guy provides a link to download the good version of the firmware towards the bottom of the page.

All that being said I have and will continue to recommend this router for people that want great performance, reliability, and wireless coverage for their homes. Just make sure you are on the 1.0.4.30 firmware version. Anything after that is unreliable. However, SOME people on the NetGear forum have said that they are having no issues with 1.0.6.28 after a factory reset. YMMV.

Why do routers have such a short shelf life? They always seems to crap out within 1 - 3 years.
