Satellite internet recommendations

This isn't for home use. For work use on a remote jobsite where I'm working.
Our client has a gues wifi that they let us use but it's very unreliable. We've been using a hot spot which is better but has a data limit. Now that it looks like we're going to be here longer term we're looking into a more long term solution.
Any experience with satellite internet that might service rather rural locations?

I currently use a Sprint hotspot with a 30 GB plan and 10 GB additional shared with phone which is 40 total for $110. Of the satellites I have fooled with Hughesnet Gen 4 seems the best. They have a business plan which has pretty good data limit for about a $100 or so which I would check out. I don't think they have a daily cap on it but I would ask. Also the ping time with satellite is 7-800 ms while it is about 50 ms for a hotspot.
Satellite speeds vary with peak usage times but usually give at least 2-3 Mbps down and about 15 most of the time. Good luck finding what you need.

Cellular network phone would be fastest. Satellite internet is bang your head on a wall slow

I've worked with satellite data communications for offshore cameras and real-time control operations from shore with several O&G. I also work with covert applications using 4G service. If your sites can receive the 4G, that would be much better.
That said, new satellite systems are slated to be up and operational between 2018 and 2020 that will be providing Gigabit Internet service, initially for corporate clients, but over time the cost will come down to a point where GB Internet from satellite will be affordable world-wide.

Met with a group of engineers from Raytheon for lunch and they "alluded" (Ratheon engineers are notorious for never telling you what they are working on) to their involvement and provided the timelines.
We were discussing this very issue because of latency and low bandwidth issues on drilling rigs and seeking a solution for real-time drilling management from land-based operations centers. This info was offered up to me when one of them piped up and said that beginning somewhere in that time frame this new capability from satellite would happen.
A quick search found this: LINK

My parents just upgraded to the latest gen of Hughes net, it's 1000x better. I don't know all the pings, ups, downs, but I haven't had any problem getting on or using it like I did before the upgrade.
