I have a 75 inch Samsung in the game room. Little over a year old, out of warranty of course. I’ve tried everything recommended. Checked the outlets. Unplugged for several minutes. The red standby light will not illuminate.

Any suggestions?

Capacitors blown. If you can solder you can probably fix it.

Thank you for your reply. What would cause that to happen?

I think from what I remember Samsung put undersized capacitors. Should be a known problem.

This was the issue I had with one of mine a few years and that was a common issue. I found the mother board via model number and fixed within a few minutes.

If you paid with a credit card you may or may not have an extended warranty through your credit card

Bought a 60" Plasma Samsung on an AMEX platinum years back. One of the HDMI ports died out of factory warranty but still under AMEX warranty. AMEX paid $300 for the repair.
