Reolink PoE Camera system

Does anyone have the reolink RLC-410 PoE camera's and if so, do you like them? They seem to get good reviews from everything i can find online but I was hoping to get any other feedback here.
I have Nest cameras but i have struggled with connectivity issues for over a year and dealt with nest who gives me the same generic answers that either my upload speed is too low or my mesh routers aren't close enough to the cameras. I can't control upload speeds and i'm not buying a bunch of routers to put right next to me cameras. My last bit of patience came yesterday when they were knocked out for 3 hours. All other devices in my house were working without a problem so i've had enough. I'm going PoE and not looking back.

I just started replacing my cameras with RLC-520 POE turret cameras. I’ve been impressed with the image quality. However, I don’t use their cloud service or their onboard recording/motion trigger so can’t speak to that.
I use them running Blue Iris on a PC.

I've got the 423ws. I don't see it on their website anymore. They are constantly improving the app. I'm very happy with it.

Thanks for the feedback

I see. To use the Reolink app and view recordings (that are stored locally), you have to have an SD card installed. I don’t use the app or an SD card.

As you mentioned, you can view the cameras in the app without the SD card but it would only be live feed only and not historical in anyway.

Didn’t realize they sold their own NVR. Let us know how that setup works for you.
I like using Blue Iris instead of a dedicated NVR, but would like to hear other experiences.

I have the nvr with the 410's.
I LOVE the fact that all the cameras record full resolution. You don't find many nvr's that will do that. If you are accessing the nvr straight (meaning a monitor connected to nvr) then it's good.
However, their app (in win 10)sucks. Half the time it crashes or uses up huge cpu resources. Anytime you try to switch to search through the video even when connected to same router (1000mps) hardlined... it will lag and hang up.

It's much better than the win10 app. Smoother and easier to find things.

Does the app work off Wifi, on LTE anywhere you go? I saw a review somewhere that someone was complaining about the app not working when they weren't on their home Wifi. I get it may lag a little on LTE but i'd want it work on regualar cell signal

I've used it when in the car (trying to see if a train was across those r/r tracks to the right in the pic) but only for that. Not sure how good it works just off LTE but I assume it's the same. It does give you a warning when you open under LTE. Also you can use what is called balanced mode to play it in lower quality.

I bought a couple of RLC-410WS cameras to use with my Synology NAS wirelessly. Everything worked fine but at some point after a power outage they lost their connection and did not work. In order to re-configure them you have to connect them directly with ethernet and I've been too lazy to take them down and try to get them working again. Were they wired I bet it would work without issue. Guess I should get off my butt and try to get them working again.

quote:So, I finally had a chance to look into Blue Iris as a possible option instead of their NVR. If i'm reading right, its a $70 one time purchase for the software and then $34/year support after the 1st year? if so, it seems more cost effective to use the NVR unless i'm missing some functionality benefits with blue iris.

They both offer desktop and mobile apps. Except the desktop version for blue iris can be accessed on a web browser whereas NVR is only direct connection to access via PC. I'd only use the app mostly anyway so it would seem like the NVR would be all I need.
