My 12 YO grandson bought himself a used gaming rig from a friend with summer job money for $300.

Gigabyte GPU 1660 ($700 new)
220GB SSD + 1TB HDD
Pentium i5
8GB ram (needs to bump that to at least 16GB).

However, the monitor was an afterthought and he's now looking to add that. I found this at Costco: LG 32" Class UltraGear FHD Gaming Monitor

Any other recommendations in this size/price range?? T.I.A.

Whatever you do, make sure that there's minimal glare. Biggest regret I have is purchasing a monitor that was known to have some glare.

You don't want a 1080p monitor that big. Biggest he should go on 1080p res is 27", and I think that is too big.

24" is ideal for 1080p IMO. If he wants to go 32", he should go higher res, but his 1660 aint gonna cut that

Also this made me laugh

Maybe for a few months in early 2019 as the BitCoin miners were winding down.

Best buy has them for $300 (still WAY overpriced!) But who buys GPU's from them??
