Record phone calls on Apple phone

I’ve spent some time yesterday and today downloading different apps to try to record phone calls but for one reason or another they don’t work or the set up is clunky… does anybody have any suggestions on a good app to use or a dependable one?

What is the use case here? Inbound vs Outbound call? Are you attempting to not alert the other side of the phone call that you are recording (check your state laws on 1 vs 2 party consent obviously on that one if so)?

What's that matter? Do you ask "use cases" when people ask for help with torrents?
He doesn't need to explain anything to you, he's just looking for help.

WTF Man. Do you know why he was asking these questions? Is it possible that one app may be easier or more suitable than another depending "use case"?

ETA looking around it looks like this Rev product may work. They are really trying to sell you transcription services and they are fairly cheap from what I see and PC magazine likes their transcription service. I don't use one so can't recommend anything but I think I would start by trying this if I were looking. Works on incoming and outgoing calls, does not require merge call.

Is there not a standard recording app that you can start when you put the call on speaker?

Louisiana is a single party state. Only one of the parties involved in the call needs to be aware of the recording.

I hope someone can provide a good solution for the OP. This is something that can come in handy when dealing with various "customer service" reps.

Did you look at this? I don't need one but maybe that might work?

I need to go back and look and see if I tried that app but I’m pretty sure I did. The nature of most of the calls have to do with business and our services and I just wanna transcribe the important parts just to make sure that I have the information right as I go forward in my week.

Yep. Georgia is as well. I never make assumptions as to where any posters are from here, so figured I'd just make the comment in case they weren't aware.

Woof... I don't care about specifically who or what or why he's wanting to record. I'm trying to clarify what direction he wants to record as it would change the recommendation you dumb shite. Also providing a quick warning just in case he's at risk of violating any laws... if he wants to, by all means I don't care, but if it were me and I didn't know, I'd appreciate the heads up. derp...

Doesn't work. Apple disables this functionality intentionally to avoid any potential liability for customers recording calls in violation of any state laws.

If it's incoming calls, the Google Voice app actually has a good record feature. Outbound calls, I think the app that was already mentioned (Rev) is the best option. External digital recorder and speakerphone might actually end up being your best option?

I use Parrot on Android

Yeah, Android is a more open system, and doesn't quite have the same limitations as iOS for recording calls. If I didn't have to use iOS for my work phone, I'd probably switch back to Android, though I'd likely look at the Google phones.

I've used the app 'tape a call pro' for a few years. It works great for my use.
