Recommendations for new security system with cameras

We are in the process of moving, and the home we purchased doesn't have a security system. This is what we are looking for:
1. NO SUBSCRIPTION. I want something that is self managed that doesn't require any monthly fees, but still sends notifications via an app.
2. Keypad, motion sensor, and entry sensors.
3. At least 2 outdoor cameras.
In our current home, I have a cheaper Chinese NVR with 4 POE cameras. It works fine, but I dislike that we don't receive any notifications and the app for it is pretty flaky.
I was looking at Eufy, as it seems like that they may work (even though they had a security breach a little while back). The prices don't seem too bad. I like that it seems to be all integrated in one single app.
Any thoughts?

Sounds like Eufy would work. I have no real complaints about ours. If I could do it all again I'd probably pay for a professional high quality install just for simplicity and consistency.
We went a mix of Nest (via Starling) and Eufy to work with HomeKit, and it does. But Eufy products are all over the place in terms of what they appear to be targeted at, some are hub, some aren't, some are homekit-compliant, some aren't. Much like the HomeKit experience overall, it's messy.
But I suspect someone who wanted to go full-on Eufy app and not worry about Homekit integration would have a more streamlined/less messy experience, because the products work fine.

As far as security system, I’m aware of SimpliSafe as an option…i havent gone down the rabbit hole on researching full security system solutions. For cameras, i guess it all depends on what you’re willing to spend. Reolink provides a good mid-tier solution with easy user config, mobile app, and notifications. They also have some new cameras advertised, but not available for purchase just yet, that have a siren and spotlight built-in.

Check out Lorex. I've had mine for years and have had no issues. And....And.... they actually answer the phone if you call for service. I tested their customer service during the last few weeks of the buying phase while I was shopping.
