I need to upgrade pretty bad. I currently have an HTC One M7, and I got it the day it first came out. It has been getting pretty slow lately, and doesn't seem to handle the upgrade to Lollipop very well.

My most important features in the next phone will be:

-Camera (maybe my biggest want in the phone. The HTC One sucks at this.)

-Mostly web surfing when I'm bored

-Email

-Durable (I like to hike and kayak.)

I don't use my cell phone for work much, but it is used as my home phone. I'm with AT&T, which gets pretty good service where I'm at in Nashville.

Any opinions? I've been looking at the s6, iphone 6, Note 4, but I haven't settled on anything at this point.

Are the LG and Nexus recommended based on my preferences? (i.e. camera, etc) Or is this just your favorite phone right now?

The main reason I'm getting it is because of the camera.

16 MP, 5312 x 2988 pixels, laser autofocus, optical image stabilization, LED flash. Plus it has a 1.8f-stop (which makes it really good in low light)

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll look into that one now.

There is only one right answer here if Camera is your biggest concern. It is the iPhone. Even Android fans begrudgingly concede that the iPhone just takes better pictures overall in general in most situations than any other smartphone.

To beat the iPhone, you have to beat the iPhone's camera

I don't have a problem with going with an iPhone. I have had a few in the past, but I prefer the freedom that android devices give. The camera on the iPhone is almost the only thing about it that I prefer more than the androids, and many androids are catching up (if not passing) it in this category too.

I have a note 4 and it's got a pretty nice camera IMO.

I haven't used one but from what I've read the S6 has the best camera out of the three you listed. All three will have good cameras though.

Depends on what you want.

To me the Nexus 6 and Note 4 were too big for my liking.

I ended up with the S6 edge and love it. Essentially the same camera as the Note 4 with better software (has been consistently rated as the best mobile camera out there). The reviews I've seen on the G4 have been great too. If it weren't for the lack of wireless charging or Quick Charge 2.0 I probably would have waited for the G4. Both of these are on the S6 BTW.

I will warn you the S6 edge is very thin and slick with the glass all over so if you want durable you'll probably want a case. I'm sure there will eventually be a Lifeproof case for the S6 as Samsung is the largest cellphone maker in the world and accessory companies know they'll make money off cases for their products.

Doesn't samsung make a waterproof version of the Galaxy? Is it available in the s6 yet?

They do make the active series. No word yet on if they'll continue the series for the S6 or not yet. Just checked the lifeproof website and they do have an S6 case in development

Wireless charging on the S6 is a big plus. I'm guessing that Apple will have it on one of the next two phones. Obsoleting their other phones.

You have a ton of options. The option will narrow when you decide to stick with Android or not.

This is a case question, not so much a phone question.

Personal preference, but go with a developer Note 4. Love my 3 and regret not biting the initial big $ amount to go with a developer edition using Verizon.

Just my $.02
