Ola... I thought that this may or may not have been on tech board but alas... I thought I would start here and ask.

Can you TV Roku hook up to Verizon wireless and watch TV?

Can Verizon shoot a signal to a hot spot? Or can a hotspot pick up Version internet and amplify to a large area and about 20 people?

Google is not giving me simple yes or no answers, or it's above my head, or both.

Thanks

You can certainly create a hotspot and connect to it via a Roku.

I'm doing that very thing with Visible (uses verizon network) when out at our farm and while in the RV. Visible limits hot spot speed but is truly unlimited and streaming 1080 is usually not a problem. Visible limits you to one hot spot connection so i can't comment on your second question.

Ok... I am in the country and there is no internet available.

But there is a good Verizon cell phone signal. Can I plug in a roku to my TV, and the Roku connect to Verizon and allow me to watch TV via Roku

Are you asking if you can cast a hot spot?

LINK /

In the event that you do go with them, get with me on what they call their party benefit. It drops the price of each phone plan 5$ per phone up to 4 phones. If you joined our party, you, and we, would be paying 30$/month. Again, they only allow one hot spot connection per phone and it is capped at 5mbs, but we do stream 1080 to our roku just fine with it. We usually use it at the farm about 2 miles south of I-10 near the Bucees in Luling.
