Also, if you download the playstation vue mobile app, can you watch it anywhere or can it still only be at your house?

You can watch it anywhere..but most channels are home location restricted.
You're better off using your credentials to log into TV Anywhere apps

Interesting, the NFL game is blocked on the NFL Network on vue but you can stream it on the twitter app on Amazon fire.

Well this pisses me off. Why the fak did I upgrade to have NFL network if I can't actually watch games
Posted on 9/15/16 at 7:50 pm to lsugrad35
It's on CBS in New Orleans

This has to be the NFL being stupid as frick

Yeah this is ridiculous. Fortunately I was able to get it on CBS with my antenna, but after the games move permanently to the NFL Network, we will all be screwed.
Sling TV had the same issue. I think it's a BS move to promote the NFL Network and NFL games and then turn around and not allow us to stream the game. I know it's on the NFL Network's side, but come on.

I rarely watch Thursday night games anyway so it's not a big deal for me but this just shows how dumb the NFL is. Hard to believe their ratings are down

Do we know if this is true? I assumed last night twitter bought the rights to the game and it wasn't on NFLN for anyone. Which is dumb as hell. NFL is degrading the quality of their product. If you are going to put Thursday night on NFLN part of the year put it on there the entire year. IMO. Doing anything else frustrates your viewers if they have to download a fricking twitter app to watch.
ETA: this is from CBS:
quote:
Twitter will stream 10 Thursday night regular-season games -- the same 10 games that CBS and NBC will broadcast -- and NFL Network will broadcast the other six games on the Thursday night schedule. In June 2015, the NFL partnered with Yahoo! Inc. to stream the 2015 Week 7 Bills-Jaguars game that took place in London.

Had a buddy in news tell me that November is "ratings month" for the major networks and they aren't allowed to hold major sporting events during weekday primetime to boost their ratings or some shite.
I may be completely butchering what he said, but November is for sure ratings month.

Yep. The NFL consistently makes decisions based on money and not what's good for the product. Notice college football tries to get every team on TV for you to watch as much as possible but the NFL tells you what games you can watch every weekend unless you pay out the arse for their directv package.

Not that I can see

I saw a Q&A on some site where a Sony rep replied to a complaint about not being able to access any channels on the mobile app outside of their home network...the rep said you should be able to, all you have to do is sign out then sign back in when you're under your home network and you should be able to access most of the channels anywhere you go...which I can

Just did what you said..not getting much. Nearly everything is mobile restricted.
Posted on 9/16/16 at 2:37 pm to VermilionTiger
Not sure what's going on, I downloaded the app yesterday at work and everything was mobile restricted...went home last night, signed out, then signed back in using my network, got to work today and success...all of my channels are available. Are you making sure you're signing in using WiFi?
Posted on 9/16/16 at 2:40 pm to Spilled Milk
I don't have access to my work wifi. That could be the problem.
Posted on 9/16/16 at 2:50 pm to VermilionTiger
But you signed in while you were at home?
Posted on 9/16/16 at 2:54 pm to VermilionTiger
I just switched off WiFi to cellular network and everything was still available
