All great for me so far also. Other than the inconvenience of two remotes that I just mentioned. I'm building a patio at the house right now and debating going firestick, firetv or just a chromecast (I have 2 extra chromecasts right now). The chromecast is the most financially responsible. That and I won't really be channel surfing out there. Just putting a game on and leaving it mostly.

if you're just leaving a game on and its in a good range of wifi, I would go with the fire stick

Wifi is going to be the big thing..maybe even with the Fire TV

Pre PS Vue, I used to pull a tv outside and cast watchespn on my phone to it with the chromecast and didn't have any issues. I still havent tried casting vue yet.

Well, I just got it. I've been using the PS4 and it's nearly on par in terms of productivity. Be careful leaving PS Vue on, it could drain your data cap. To be safe, I always go to settings, applications, manage applications, force stop. Figured the 20 seconds it takes to do that is worth it.

Are you interested in KODI? Your wife may be more inclined to switch if she knew about that.

Putting the Fire TV in sleep mode will keep PS Vue running you think? If it was the last app opened?

I put mine on sleep. Haven't noticed any data spikes so i think that works.

My only complaint is they appear to be arse clowns with the canceling the free trial.

I'm somewhat savy with computers and I found no option on the Fire Tv or on my playstation account to cancel.

The link they sent me with the initial trial didn't work.

I found a few posts with people equally perplexed. In those posts there was a link but when you click the link, "sorry, we misplaced this page."

I finally figured out that on the misplaced page, there is a login. If you sign-in from that page, you get a pop up with the option to cancel.

Real pain in the arse for Fire TV. I think a normal subscription would be easy to cancel because I think it shows up on you PlayStation Home Account but the free trial doesn't show up under media subscriptions.

I only need cable during football season for the ESPN packages.

I have Hulu Plus, Amazon Prime, Netflix and Kodi for all of my viewing needs during non-football months.

I used Sling last year but Vue is a million times better so I will use it come August.

You can also "cancel" by unchecked autorenew in your account. That's how I did it.

Where was that? I spent over an hour looking through absolutely every possible link on the Dashboard, Account, Devices and Media tabs.

You can add me to the subscription list. Finally got LUS Fiber installed and miraculously Vue is working.
