Posted on home/garden board as well.
looking to add a couple of speakers outside on my patio. I have elevated power outlets on both sides of my patio.
The issue I'm facing is I'd like to mount a couple of speakers that are wifi/bluetooth/airplay2 compatible.
I really don't want to have to run wire to a central receiver if possible.
I also don't really want to carry a portable speaker in and out.
Does anyone know of any speakers that I can mount outside (under a covered patio) that are basically wireless except for the power?

I'm probably going to do the Sonos Move or Roam for our backyard. They have charging docks so you can move them but you don't have to. Probably depends on your setup as to whether they'd stay put, but I'm guessing there will be some aftermarket stuff.

I saw this exact product not long ago, and cannot think of the manufacturer. May have been on Woot. One of the bigger names. I will look for them.

think im gonna go with the Sonos one or the Sonos SL.
I just realized that they have mounting options for these speakers which seem like they will work fine..
I didn't realize that you don't need the bridge system.
Anyone have the ONE or the SL? Should I swing for the extra few bucks to get the microphone on the ONE or is the SL enough?

Probably not worth it to get the one with the microphone for outside, if you are mounting these near the ceiling you might not even be able to reach the button to turn the microphone off/on. You could just use your phone if you want voice commands.

That answers the question. Good info!

Good thing about the Ones or SLs is that they're made to be mounted upside down like you're talking about and still work and look right.
