Lifx SmartBulbs are on sale today for $40
I think a lot will tell once Wink releases their new hub. I think both Wink and smartthings are on par with smartthings haveing the advantage of being under a huge corporation, meaning, they wont be going anywhere anytime soon. Wink could fold just like it almost did a year ago. I have a wink but if smart things starts to come ahead, ill have to switch over.

LIFX not supported by wink AFAIK, but since they use WiFi, arguably this is just giving wink permission to their API like honeywell, nest and chamberlain do it now.
wink hub UI and functionality is > smarthings (imo) at the moment but any given firmware update may put one hub over the top.
wink also has the best schlage lock integration if that's important and probably more products than ST.
philips hub isn't that big of a deal. find a deal on the older round one on ebay and then add it to your st/wink hub and you can then just buy the bulbs.
it is a bit of a hassle to have to purchase that before you can properly enjoy the bulbs.

iphone 7 is waterproof though. that's a legit advantage. but yeah the unlimited original resolution and stabilization feature is really really nice.

what functionality does Wink have that smartthings doesnt. Both UI seem very nice. No way you can really claim one over the other.

Why did you choose this one over XL?
Can a person really tell difference in resolution between these 2 phones?

at the moment several things (and again i did say we're only a software update away)
- new wink v2 moves just about everything local. huge advantage for response-times and control if your internet connection is down
- more products supported by wink like the aforementioned schlage, ST doesn't allow you full access to the schlage lock API so you have to go program it at the door itself with the manual and one hand and tapping the touchscreen with the other. not very useful if you need to create a temp code for a contractor and you're out of town
- st schedules are a disaster right now. they need to fix the issues here
again, i said they are very comparable; just that i give the edge to wink at the moment.

I didn't select this option when I went to order ... is this an extra charge?
I don't intend on switching from Sprint. Have unlimited everything for 2 phones and pay $100.00 per month.

meh. not denying it, just not important.

will never be an issue in a real life situation. that's grasping at straws.

completely false. they work 100% of the time.

Investigating - Some North American users may be experiencing degraded performance in the execution of scheduled SmartApps. SmartApps scheduled between 2:00 AM and 7:00 AM EDT would have been particularly impacted. We are continuing to monitor and we will provide an update when additional information is available.
lol @ implemented short-term mitigations. in other words, we hacked it for now and still haven't figured out the issue.

I purchased an Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet thinking I would buy a smaller phone this go around.
I'm returning it. Not because it isn't good - but only because I am having a hard time giving up the real estate space on my phone, thus making the device not as important to me now.

I meant when I pre-ordered my phone, I was given at option at checkout to get a SIM card for Fi. I declined, but am curious if there is an additional charge for this.

I'm not sure if you know what a smartapp is. It's 3rd party schedules that are basically just made by people in their basement that smartthings allows them to throw on their platform.
It is not the schedules that comes with smartthings.

dxo still hasn't scored the 7+, it's been out for a bit now. Wonder why they are waiting since the 7 has been scored and the pixel got a score before it was even release.
