I have a smartthings Hub and have used the GE smart switches. Every light I have setup have always given me the option to dim the lights. I setup two more switches today and neither are giving me the option to dim. Any ideas?

Not all GE smart switches are dimmable. Some are purely toggle on/off.

I guess first question is are you 100% sure you bought dimmable?

Maybe that’s the issue. I just went back and looked, thought I bought GE brand but it looks like the knock off brand. Below is the one I installed.

That looks like an on off.

Return and buy a GE Cync.

Have a few and they are really good so far.

Enbrighten is GE, but the switch you linked is not a dimmer. Here’s their Zwave dimmer. LINK

If you want to stick with Zwave, look into Zooz dimmers/switches. Great products and their support is amazing.

Thx for the help! Do I need to stick with Zwave for the smartthings hub? I have a good bit of stuff running through it currently.

If you're going with GE you need EVERYTHING GE. We have all GE wafers, bulbs, and a Smart Switch with Dimmer and motion sensor. The app makes it very easy to work without issue.

What brand bulbs are you running? GE Smart Switch will work on non-GE but you need to get the Cync app, activate and specify the bulbs you are going to use. It'll give you several options that you are going to run from that Switch.

Idk which apps Cync is compatible with in terms of voice activation/hubs.

The last Smartthings hub (Zeotec, thanks for the price increase for nothing) I bought used Z-Wave and Zigbee. Never used GE stuff, though. I stuck as much as I could that could be controlled through (pre-Matter) common interfaces. My interest started dying off when IFTT died, because until then I didn't have to actually touch an app. It really only became a lighting issue, you tell the thermostat where it needs to be when, done. Same for the sprinkler system, etc.

I have a decent amount of GE Cync stuff. It just works. I can control it via the app or with a lot of Alexa Routines
