They stay perfectly clean, it's the type of back that Google uses, doesn't get dirty literally at all or wear, lose color, anything.
Mine N5 looks as good as it did when I preordered it a year ago.

And it sold out in about 3 minutes before I could get one, no way is that all of the preorders, I never even saw the 64GB go on sale just the 32GB's.

The launch for this thing has been awful, I still haven't gotten a preorder in yet. 
May just bite the bullet and grab it on AT&T, but there is no release date for preorder or in store for AT&T, and they may be like Sprint and only sell the blue version and I will only take white.
What a clusterfrick.
Reviews, however, have been outstanding. From the screen to the camera to the fit in your hands, everyone is in love with the N6.

I see no need for that phone now that roms are flying out for the G3. I am running PAC AOSP on my G3 with a CM11 android lollipop theme and it is A M A Z I N G.

If I had a G3, I'd probably stick with it, too. I'm upgrading from Nexus 4 and I will probably keep the new phone for 2 years, so why not get the latest and greatest from almighty Google?

I would get the N6 too if coming from an older device. I was more referring to the people ditching the G3 for lack of development. Its coming along nicely now.

Don't know much about the turbo but it looks pretty good spec wise. I think its ugly as frick. Has a 20mp camera. Same omled display with more PPI. Smaller 5.2" display. Same glass, processor, 4k video, turbo charge, etc.
One major difference is a locked bootloader on the droid vs unlocked on M6 with pure android. Also phone/screen size is a decision maker as one is 5.2 and the other is 6 inches.

I haven't been following the news and rumors. What I want to know is when the frick will I be able to walk into a store and get one with contract. And preferably I'd like it to be at a radio shack or some other non-AT&T store that has no incentive to try to scam me out of my current plan.

Not anytime soon. AT&T in store tomorrow with extremely limited quantities, IF the store in your area is big enough to get any initial first batch stock.
Otherwise, December at the earlier, probably not until after first of the year most likely.
