Bought a 65" Roku 4k. Always buffering trying to watch anything. Have Vexus internet that is running very fast according to the speed test I run. I have reset everything I can think of. Looking for suggestions on a fix before I return this thing. Did not have this problem with the old TV.

Wireless, 280 down, 200 up.. But it varies. It is fast then slow. No consistency. Router is 5 feet from the TV. Called Vexus, they rebooted but 10 minutes later it's buffering. Very frustrating.

One thing I've seen with inconsistent WiFi is if you have a modem/gateway and a personal router both issuing wifi signals. If you have a setup like this, disable wifi on the gateway (set it to bridge mode if available) and then use the router for handling wifi access.

Just throwing that out there.

How do you do that?

Check for a setting on the TV itself .. called .. "Bandwidth Saver". If you have that setting .. turn it to "off".

Reset your network connection .. "on the TV itself".

Also, make sure to do a system update if you have not .. once again .. "on the TV itself".

Didnt realize Vexus numbers went this low..Depending on what else you have on that network and who owns the router you use, your problem is probably simply bandwidth..

list out your equipment if you get a chance..

if that list includes Eeros, you found your problem

I have Eeros in the living room and the bedroom. Living room is the one that the new TV is connected to. Bedroom tv does not have a buffering problem but the TV controller is very slow.

Run a wire to it and see if that helps. If it does then the wifi is your issue. I have two TVs and a Peloton hard wired and no issues on any of them. Frees up the wifi for phones and tablets as well.

Is that on the TV or your phone/computer?

Update : Vexus came out and installed new Eero modems. No more problems since.
