New Macbook Pro - What apps should I get?

Ive had a MBP for like 5 years and almost never use apps.

then what the hell do you use this very expensive machine for? surfing the web and email? if so...man you could have just bought a cheap tablet for that.

directv app if you have it, i also use vlc player but its not an app

Chrome, Spotify and tweetdeck are the only apps I ever use.

Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Word, Excel (though Mac Excel is the worst), Internet. I dont need to download evernote to make my MBP worth it haha.
