Netgear router login issue

I figured I would ask here, since I seem to run into this every so often, and it's aggravating.
I have a Netgear Nighthawk router. Before that, I had another Netgear router. To access the router, you type "routerlogin.net" into the address bar of your web browser, and it opens a page where you control the router's operations (this is when you're on the same network).
So, I occasionally lose internet, not too terribly often. But it seems like half the time when I do, Chrome just says "no internet connection". Now, at this point I still have my LAN up, I can see my Blink cameras, I just can't access the internet. Usually restarting the modem fixes that. I know I'm 'offline', that's what I'm trying to fix. Anyone know of a way to stop this?

How to find IP address
That's an informative link on how to find your IP address.
You can try:
192.168.1.1
or
192.168.0.1
Most routers use those by default.

It usually has a sticker on the router with the default ip address. I always type that in my browser.

command prompt: ipconfig /flushdns (WIN+X, Terminal, too.)
You'll get the default gateway, which IP is being used, etc.
Netgear and TPLink have gone annoying style in terms of being able to login locally to your own devices, but it still seems to work.
Chrome and a lot of browsers run your traffic through various anti-DDOS sites, but a lot of browsers don't permit Javascript in between sites, which is a great tracking source. That's usually the reason things don't work until you open them in a privacy bastard window (Edge, Chrome, etc.)

I know that either my modem or my router has the ability to schedule an automated reset once a week at a scheduled time. That might help if your modem has that feature.
