Nest thermostat Help

Recently purchased a new house and it has a nest thermostat. I know you can adjust the temperature yourself, but it appears it still remembers the previous homeowners settings/patterns and automatically adjusts it during the day
I’ve never had a Nest thermostat before. How do I erase their settings and “make my own”?

You reset it, download the nest app and set it up with your account.

Built a new house with nest cameras, smoke detectors and thermostat. The thermostat had to be replaced two times in 3 years.
