Was reading an industry publication and found this 2016 Google customer consumer survey to be interesting. Fricking Apple # 2, wow.
Also came across the article from last summer of the 50 most influential gadgets of all time. Some cool gadgets on the list and the Nest thermostat made the cut.

I'm shocked that Apple is #2 and Amazon is so low. It seemed like damn near everything at CES had Alexa in some form.

Well at CES Alexa was everywhere as a user interface for smart/connected devices.

I couldn't find the exact date of 2016 when the survey was taken. The article I found it cited in was written on the 10th of this month.

The date is May 3, 2016. It's right below the headline and authors.
