Need new iPhone. But from ATT or Apple Store?

Anyone know if it makes a difference to buy from apple vs att?

No difference. Can buy from Apple, AT&T, Best Buy, Wal-Mart, etc.
If you want Apple Care or other Apple-specific products, may need to go to Apple.
Often the non-Apple stores will run better deals, especially if you are adding a line or changing your service.

I bought my Samsung s21 from best buy because it was cheaper than everywhere else.

I highly recommend buying it online and just picking it up in the store. Cell phone salesmen are slimier than used car salesmen these days. You buy in store and you'll be in there for hours while they try to upsell you on everything.

There is absolutely a difference. Phones from the Apple store come unlocked. If you buy from ATT store it will be locked to ATT

I did this and they still tried to get me to buy everything. $80 phone cases, an extra charger, screen protectors with a “special” deal… it never ended
