My TV finally shite the bed. Looking for a 65-70”. What’s the best options out there under $700. I’m looking at the Vizio QLED 65. Does anyone have one of these?

For under $700 get the best TCL or Hisense you can find.
Avoid the big names as they gimp those tvs too much.

mchias is correct if you're sticking to that price range

I would be willing to spend more but TVs he have basically become disposable. Get 7-8 years out of them

I’m down to 2. The Vizeo 65 QLED or the Philips Roku 65 QLED. Price is the same. Any advice?

meh, that depends on what you are looking for in a TV. if you're not a stickler on picture quality or need certain inputs then they can be a commodity. lifespan probably correlates with price point. but, for instance, if you spent $1600 on a 65" LG C3 and get 8 years out of it, thats a pretty good value over time for a nicer TV. anyways if you are not familiar with rtings[dot]com you can check there to see how various TVs stack up.

Neither.
Go with TCL or Hisense.
Everything I've seen recently is Vizio is worse than when they came out. And who do you know owns a Phillips TV anymore?

Raises hand. (TBH, I just upgraded it. It was close to 12-13 years old. There was nothing really wrong with it, but the dynamic range wasn't up to snuff with new models.

Philips stopped making TVs around 2008. Funai had the rights to the name for a few years and now it's owned by a Taiwanese company.
People see the name of a manufacturer like Philips and don't realize that they're just buying a familiar logo.
RCA is another brand that just lives on as a logo. Sharp just recently started manufacturing TVs again. Magnavox was acquired by Philips who sold the license to Funai. Toshiba sold their TV division to Hisense...

I’ve owned TCL’s. No issues

A great site that reviews the best tvs in multiple different categories is RTINGS.com
Just scroll down at the above link and compare the best current TV's by category. You might want to try first searching by size.
They include a thorough review and lots of test results, capabilities and functionality for each of the TVs.

Vizio was bought by Walmart and is now their house brand. I would expect the quality to plummet.

Memorial day I picked up an LG C3 77inch for 1999, they had some 75 inch LG QLED or whatever they call it under 1k. both Costco and Best Buy.

Hisense U7 series. Bought one in December as a gaming TV for my kids. Extremely happy with it.

Bought an ONN 65" last fall. It was only $298 so figured why not. That thing is a great tv. If it lives for 5 years I'll be very satisfied.
