Need a Cheaper Battery Wifi Camera To Use Like Nanny/Baby Cam

I guess sort of like Arlo, but not nearly as expensive. I dont need motion sensor monitoring, zones, security cam features, etc...
Wife wants to be able to place/move camera in a few locations around the house, inside and out, at certain times, to keep eye on one kid while with the other or doing stuff around the house. Having a magnet dock like arlo and even better, a powered dock in a few locations would be nice if available. Currently in the Google ecosystem, so working with their displays or commands would be a plus as well
ETA, only need live video, no recording
Any Suggestions?

I just installed 5 Blink XT2's at my mom's house...very nice cameras and a lot cheaper than Arlo. They have 2 way audio, record in 1080p, and have free cloud storage

Do the cameras connect direct through the hub, or through wifi and then hub? Id be concerned about connection from where I'd keep the hub vs potential camera locations

Do you have an old cellphone that isn’t being used? That’s what we did, took an old iPhone 5 and used the Cloud Baby Monitor app. Believe he ported it to Android too.
Most of the baby monitor specific cameras blow. We had an audio only one that was very useful too. It had a pad to put under her bed to check and that would alert if it didn’t detect a heart beat.

Not sure how long it would work (or if at all) but you could try a Wyze cam plugged into a power bank. Both are relatively inexpensive.

Second on the Blink XT2s. I have had one for a few weeks. Works great and can see the video on Echo Shows. Pretty sweet.

Cameras connect to the hub which then connects to WiFi.

So you are using the extra iPhone as a camera?

Yes, the baby monitor iPhone is WiFi only, but I can access it on my phone anywhere. The cloud baby monitor app does a ton of things most baby cam monitors do too. You can play lullabies through it and such. It lets you talk to them through the app as well.
It’s always nice to say goodnight to my little girl through it when I am away for work.
