(This problem is solved... A new question is at the bottom about cursor size change.)

Hi.. I need a little help with MS word.

Lets say that I have a document that is 5 pages long and it is written already.

I need all the text on page 5 to STAY ON PAGE 5. I want this set of text to remain on this page.. It is to be a one page document within a 5 page document.

But I need to edit page 1.. So I add text to page one.. I add a few paragraphs etc... and as I do all the text through pages 2-5 move down... part of page 5 text has now already automatically started and moved to page 6.

How can I edit and add text to the document.. Yet LOCK page 5 that it doesn't move downward as I edit the pages before it.

or the info can move to page 6, only if it's all the text from page 5 and nothing else.. all text on 5 stays to a single page even if word now adds another page and makes it page 6.

Big thanks in advance.

Use a page break right before page 5 so that it remains the beginning of a new page

I could be oversimplifying your problem, but if I'm understanding you correctly, I think the easiest solution is to note where p.5 currently begins and ends, do all of your edits/additions, then just add a page break just before the original start of p.5.

Would I also need a page break at the bottom of page 5 too?

I plan on needing multiple page breaks, as I have two or three pages where I do not want the text to move.

Think of it this way...

Page one. Intro.

page two - Scene One

Page three - Scene two.

If I edit and add to page one (intro), I do not want part of scene one (Page 2), moving into page three.

Just add a page break at the end of every scene. This will ensure that a scene always begins on a new page.

ANother question...

My text cursor has gotten smaller. changed size. How do I get it back to normal and stay that way?
The cursor is actually smaller than the text typed.

Thanks again.

In Word cursor size is dictated by font size - maybe you're working on a small font?

You can adjust cursor size color in the Accessibility settings of Windows. Try that and see if it helps.
