I’d have to pay for that right...and it’s the same
Google photos is free for unlimited storage of videos (1080p or lower) and pictures (16 megapixels or lower)

Google photos automatically grabs new photos.
Google is the backup or you can download them onto a hard drive
Texts you can just get an app that backs them up.
Apps create a .txt file and you can just put that on a hard drive
Calls are from phone service
Call logs are easily obtainable from the phone service
Apps are in the app store
Restore apps and app data from the app store or play store
Music is in hard drive if previously downloaded or in the purchase history
Already downloaded stuff is already on a hard drive or re download the library you have in the music service
Files on the computer can have an external HDD that can use a batch file to copy the drive every night or run a RAID
batch file creates a copy every night to a hard drive or a RAID 1 can duplicate the hard drive
Then just get a password app and make sure to note where everything is.
The password app would just hold info on where everything is or you can do a simple .txt
I don't know if you were truly being curious or a smart arse but that was easy stuff to figure out. Those are free services or a hard drive which the OP wanted.

Why not upload them to my public Dropbox account? No charge.

The point I'm making is that OP can pay $3/month for 200 GB of iCloud storage and have every single thing you listed done automatically, every night, over wifi. Then when he needs to restore all he would have to do is type in his Apple ID and password and hit restore.
What OP is trying to do is spend $500+ on a back up system that would take multiple hours to set up and multiple hours to restore everything. Not to mention no settings would be saved in your backup scenario, unless you're plugging the phone into a computer every night to sync. How many years of managed backups would OP have to have to break even on upfront costs?
