What should I expect to pay for a used MacBook Air with these specs:
“120gb solid state drive, 1.7HGz Intel Core i5 processor, 4gb RAM, Intel HD graphics, backlit keyboard. Minty fresh installation of MacOS Mojave 10.14.6 with Siri.”
Great condition 11" MacBook Air available. Works perfectly and the size is incredible for portability. It also runs great docked into a large monitor for "home base" operations.
120gb solid state drive, 1.7HGz Intel Core i5 processor, 4gb RAM, Intel HD graphics, backlit keyboard. Minty fresh installation of MacOS Mojave 10.14.6 with Siri.
Comes with: neoprene travel sleeve and two OEM wall chargers -- these are the MagSafe chargers that charge via magnets so you don't send your laptop flying if you trip on the cord (one needs a little adapter that I've never even opened).
Physical condition is great, with two small exceptions: 1) There's a small dent on the front left of the machine, Cosmetic only, nothing related to function. 2) The primary wall charger has some wear around the plug, which I put some electrical tape over. Works perfectly, just not aesthetically 100%.”

That laptop is from around 2012 or so right? It's a $1000 super thin laptop that 8+ years old and still works. I'm not sure how much life it has left though. You're already capped at Mojave. The battery has got to give out at some point.
$500 on Amazon.com
So, maybe $350?

I wouldn’t go higher than $300. $250 is probably fair.

your acme made sleeve case is probably worth more than your laptop.
btw, acme made makes a great product.

It’s not mine, I was considering making an offer for it. I’m not the most tech savvy, to say the least, and know nothing about the MacBook. I’ve always had an iPhone and was curious to play with a Mac on the cheap.
I appreciate all the feedback here, as I’ll stay away from it. FWIW the guy’s asking $550 “ballpark”, will take offers. Yikes.

Fwiw, 3 years ago I bought a mid 2012 13”MacBook Pro with 8 GB ram, an i5, and other similar specs to what you posted for $300. It didn’t have an SSD but I swapped that out myself.
All of this to say, the guy is asking for too much. I’d offer up to $300 and see if he bites.
