Looking for a good desktop search app...

I'll have to try that one. We use Agent Ransack at work for large folders/things explorer won't find.

If that is the case then it sounds like the OP is looking for a File Search App and not desktop search app. Back in my day, the olden days, something called a desktop search app would just be an internet search engine app installed onto a desktop with easy access via a widget or something on the desktop or taskbar.
