So my laptop produces audio but when I plug something in to the audio output jack there's nothing. I use a couple different devices that way but can no longer use them. The devices check fine.
Does this sound like a driver issue? If so, I need help.
Thanks

More than likely it's become de soldered from the mother board

On my laptop when I plug in headphones it pops up a dialog box asking me to choose the audio source and I have to click headphones. Possibly your laptop isn't showing that box?

Yes, it displays that box. I've tried "headphones", "headset", and "speakers out" which are selections in that box.
