Anyone have recommendations for a kids GPS watch that can also talk / text? My kids (11 and 9) have begun riding bikes in our neighborhood with other kids and we would like a way to keep track / check on them / if they need to contact us quickly.

Our cell phone service is through AT&T , heard recs for the Verizon gizmo and plan to go by there, but, not sure it will work with all our other service with AT&T.

My daughter has this (9 yrs old)

LINK /

Tick Talk 3

Works on AT&T

GPS works really well and the battery will last all day.

We had to send our first one back because the battery would drain in an hour but they replaced it with a new unit and has been working great.

Did you add the phone plan with AT&T (and if yes, what was the monthly cost) or do their $10 plan through red pocket?

I added a line to my ATT account for $20/Mo...I looked at the red pocket thing and i really didn't want to bother with another bill so I just added it to our family plan.

Push to talk walkie-talkie style. Use your app on smart phone to talk and track. Works great, and i think 10/month. 50 for device.

Ended up ordering the Tick Talk 3, should be here Friday. Online chatted with AT&T, they said it would be $10 per month to add to my account. Anything other than a watch and my girls will lose it / drop it.

Nice to know it's only 10 a month. Might get this when boys are 5

Got my daughter an Apple Watch. It was $10/mo with Tmobile to add a line. We used an older iPhone we had for the main line to add the phone service and the watch works off of that.

These are available from Verizon.

Gizmo

My daughter has had this version since she was 6; she's 9 now.
These arev out of production and bands are like $70 because of that. She just had to have a teal color one.
