iOS 16 and voice recognition

Since the update to iOS 16, my iPhone’s voice recognition in dictationn has gotten absolutely terrible.
Words that it always got right under prior versions, it is now getting wrong, and it is randomly inserting commas at odd places in almost every sentence.
Is anyone else experiencing this?

I've actually noticed the opposite. My phone seems to have improved it's ability to understand and punctuate my talk-to-text features.

I'm having a problem with the phone not even hearing my voice when I dictate a text. I'd never had a problem like this before.

I have a fairly strong Texas drawl, and my phone had gotten really good at properly, interpreting pretty much everything I said.
Now, it misinterprets probably 90% of the near-homophones that I dictate. affect/effect. except/accept. Etc.

Same. The voice-to-text got much worse in ios16.

I mean, are you sure that your phone simply didn't learn that you like to randomly insert commas at odd places in almost every sentence?

Stop buying from a company that is helping the CCP oppress and kill its own people.

Yes! I started this same thread when iOS 16 debuted. Talk to text is atrocious now. Barely still usable.

After starting this thread, I did some research on the Internet. Apparently, everyone is having the same problems. Perhaps with the exception of one poster above.
To be candid, I am baffled. The software was already written and working great.
How does it regress?

Try going to Privacy & Security/Analytics & Improvements and make sure Improve Siri & Dictation is checked.
Also try going to Siri & Search and uncheck then recheck Listen for “Hey Siri” and redo the voice training. Not sure if this is the solution but if you’re like me, you probably skipped this when setting up iOS 16
