Is it possible for my web hosting service to lock me out of Outlook 2010 program (not app)? This program holds other email accounts not related to the site they host for me. These nice people do this on a consistent basis & claim no fault for taking down not just my company email but our website too. Doing biz with them for 20 years & they can’t pick up a phone over $15. Irritating as f. It truly sucks because it’s on autopay. Thanks for feedback if you got it. ??

No.

To be clear. An application running on your computer -no.

If you’re using Outlook to access multiple accounts on different servers, just change profiles to access the other accts bypassing the acct that is hanging up.

I doubt they are intentionally locking you out, but you obviously have some other issue and they aren't competent/helpful enough to assist you and mitigate it. It sounds like you need a different web hosting company, and if you've gone with this company because they're one of the cheaper options, you probably need to look into increasing your budget so you can get a web host that offers more support. Some web hosts are geared towards making it cheap and easy for self service clients to do their own thing and some are geared towards holding your hand and managing servers for you.

Thanks for your advice. I’m definitely going to make a move. I like staying local with my business but it’s time for a change.
