Goy my wife a new iphone last week and the transfer is much easier than it used to be. Only issue I am having is that she is not receiving some iMessages, it seems to be working for 90% of contacts but occasionally, she will get a message on a group thread that shows clearly she hasn't received a previous message. Is this an apple issue or ATT issue?

I’ve had this problem for a while on my iPhone. It seems to happen when someone in the group doesn’t have an iPhone. I will usually get a string of messages a day later or never get them.

This is similar to an issue my wife had when we switched from iPhone to pixel (strongly considering switching back). She brought the phone back to the store and they were able to resolve the issue by replacing her sim card and resetting her antenna. Both were problematic, so they don't know which one caused the issues.

yeah, i'm familiar with the problem regarding non iphones and the iMessages being lost in lala land. In this case, she is moving from iphone to iphone....

Try logging out and logging in iCloud a few times after send some messages. It has helped with "I" issues in past IOS software updates.

Does she have an ipad or mac with the same icloud account? That could be the hang up.

I've been having issues with group messages with an android user on it. I have to resend the messages repeatedly..

I should be so lucky. I cancelled Facebook and it’s messaging service more that two months ago and I’m still getting “shared” notifications. Wish they would stop.

No Mac, I’m going to try and log out and log back in to see if that shakes it out
