I happened to open it yesterday and noticed in the "history" several searches which I was not familiar with. Should I be concerned?

I’ve never noticed a degreeable difference in the browsers. Some pages work better in chrome, safari, explorer or edge but not enough for me to care

You forgot to delete your history in Edge after browsing for porn?

Seriously though, stop using IE. Edge isn't a terrible browser but developer support is still lackluster. Chrome and/or FireFox are your top browsers.

Chrome > Explorer 11 >> Edge

IE 11 will receive security updates as long as Win 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 are supported.

Why do a lot of web based programs only work in IE? Is it because the companies that use the programs run Windows and the browser is already installed on the computers?

I hate having to use IE for anything lol.

Our company just switched to Office 365 and SharePoint, so everything is web-based now. For some reason in SharePoint, the setting to make the client app the default for opening files won't work in FF or Chrome, so they open in the browser version. To get the setting to stick, we have to use IE. Maybe later updates to FF and Chrome will fix this.

But I'll have to admit, IE is much better than it used to be, at least for the functionality I need.

I have to switch to IE for this one company's email attachments. Just will not work in Chrome. On my tablet at home, I use Edge, and really don't mind it at all.

So, here's the dealio:

Edge is like a different skin for IE. It uses almost all of the same settings files (history, registry, group policy, etc.)

In addition, Windows uses some Internet Explorer files regardless of which Browser you use. For example, you can make registry or group policy setting changes under "Internet Explorer" that affect Chrome and Firefox.

Chrome is a piece of crap currently. It is so bloated that it makes some Windows computers unusable. Use Firefox unless you just have to use Chrome for some Google related reason.
