How to get fiber internet into the neighborhood

How does one get AT&T to run new fiber to the neighborhood? The subdivision a mile down the street has it, so I know there running lines in the area but what makes AT&T finally decide to add fiber lines to a subdivision? Is there a number to call?

In my area, they started doing all the neighborhoods with underground utilities first, I guess quicker easier install. Then they started going around and putting it in the older overhead utility neighborhoods.
Are your utilities overhead, and the other subdivision underground?

It's underground. However, I think one of the issue with not getting it yet is due to the guy who is selling the lots. I get a sense he doesn't want them to dig in the area. I could be wrong but it wouldn't surprise me.

AT&T didn't do much digging when they installed fiber in my hood. The only holes dug were about 18"x36" for some concrete access boxes to access the buried fiber. They had my street done in less than 2 days. The fiber cable was installed using some type of directional drilling machine.

ATT would give zero fricks about this guy.

Definitely not a quicker or easier install. Not even close.
Underground utilities = better neighborhoods/higher income people = bigger bills and more likely to pay their bills

A lot of times this has to do with the number of potentially billable customers. It's a costly endeavor for them to do the work... in your later comment, you mention selling lots, so if it's still largely unsold/incomplete homes, I wouldn't hold my breath.
Additionally, does anyone else have fiber in your neighborhood? I know Comcast and some other vendors were getting HOAs to sign exclusivity agreements in order for them to lay the fiber into the neighborhood (our dumbass HOA went with Comcast over waiting a month or so for Google).

You have to get a lot of people to call a d ask when will they install it. They won’t do it unless a lot of people start calling and inquiring about it
